Evanston Writers Resist

On 1/15/17, over 75 Chicago writers, in seven events around the city, will join writers worldwide for #writersresist, a “re-inauguration” of compassion, equality, free speech, and the fundamental ideals of democracy. Chicago Book Expo and Rhino Poetry are proud to present the Evanston edition of this event, including featured readers Osama Alomar, Veronica Arreola, Virginia Bell, Dina Elenbogen, Pamela Ferdinand, Ralph Hamilton, Emilie Hogan, Maudlyne Ihejirika, Parneshia Jones, Bennett Johnson, Bill Savage, Megan Stielstra, Michele Weldon, and John K. Wilson, among others.

For more information about the other events in the Chicago area throughout the day, go to www.chicagowritersresist.info.

Anyone interested in events beyond Chicago can visit www.writersresist.org for a list of cities and contact information for local organizers.

Writers Resist is a national network of writers driven to #WriteOurDemocracy by defending the ideals of a free, just and compassionate democratic society.
